About the Role
As a Team Lead at Equip, you'll create and lead a new engineering team, focusing on culture, product development, and team empowerment. The role blends technical leadership with management responsibilities, suitable for those with a hands-on engineering background.
The Team Lead has a track-record as an engineer and wants to continue growing as a technical leader focusing on people and product. The Team Lead is going to contribute a blend of technical, people, and product experience.
Responsibilities
Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Designing and planning application engineering projects.
Providing hands-on technical guidance to your team.
Maintaining subject matter expertise in the information systems and types of data at Equip.
Championing engineering best practices (version control, testing, documentation, logging, continuous integration) and data quality standards.
Monitoring key quality metrics and identifying opportunities for improvements in our pipelines and infrastructure.
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within expected timelines.
Partnering with technical stakeholders to optimize the flow of data across systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or similar field; or equivalent work experience
2+ yrs of engineering leadership experience.
8+ years of overall developer experience.
Proven experience designing and building mobile applications in iOS and Android.
Have grown and managed teams of engineers.
Experience with the below technology stack highly preferred:
Java, JavaScript, React, React Native
DB: PostgreSQL (or other SQL databases).
Cloud: AWS services.
Tools: Git, Github.
Have a strong engineering background: building business specific systems that all other engineering teams use in a scaling company.
Good product sense, working closely with customers.
Must have experience building large scale applications with well defined architectures.
Be able to work Easter or Central time zones. Either 9 - 5 Eastern or 8 - 4 Central.
Experience developing products is a plus.
A mix of scrappy startup and big company experience is a plus.
Experience with healthcare data and/or previous experience working in healthtech is a plus.
