Position Summary...
As the Senior Manager, Talent Programs, you will lead the strategy, launch, and implementation of new innovative talent initiatives and experiences designed to engage Walmart and Sam’s Club frontline field associate’s in early career opportunities. Our goal is to significantly increase the number of frontline field associates participating in early career programs, achieving substantial growth year over year. In this role, you will be a key member of our Internal Talent Pipelines team, collaborating closely with our traditional Early Career team. You will also partner with learning & development leads, people partners, and business teams to understand how talent moves into full-time roles. The Senior Manager, Talent Programs will excel at navigating a large, matrixed organization, driving clarity around program requirements, and achieving successful outcomes with cross-functional partners and stakeholders. - Design and implementation of new programs and experiences to scale innovative internal talent solutions and build strong talent pipelines aligned with business goals and workforce planning.
- Drive how internal talent transitions into full-time early career roles through effective program design and execution.
- Collaborate across a large, matrixed organization—including people and talent partners, learning teams, business leaders, legal, communications, and field hiring stakeholders—to enable internal mobility.
- Leverage data and insights to assess program impact, optimize strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
- Deliver clear, executive-level updates and reporting on program performance.
- Enhance customer and candidate experiences at every touchpoint through data-driven improvements.
What you’ll bring...
- Proven ability to design, pilot, and scale innovative talent solutions with measurable impact.
- Strong program and project management skills, including developing and managing project plans, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and lead at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience managing complex, large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and the integration of AI and digital tools into internal pipeline initiatives.
- Experience developing automated dashboards and tools to track KPIs, associate feedback, and program impact
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Knowledge of Walmart/Sam's field hiring systems and processes
- Experience with skills-based hiring initiatives
- PMP or Agile project/program management certifications
- Change management certification
- Experience with internal talent marketplace platforms
