Job Title: Lead Java Sofware Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Java Developer with over 8 years of experience in building Java applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices, with a preferred background in AWS, Docker, and UI development using React JS. You will be responsible for designing and developing highly scalable and fault-tolerant applications based on microservices architecture deployed in Docker containers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Develop and implement applications that are highly scalable and fault-tolerant.
• Utilize AWS for cloud-based application deployments.
• Use Docker for containerization of applications.
• Implement user interfaces using React JS.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Experience with AWS and Docker.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React JS.
• Proven track record of building scalable, high-performance applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Location: NY or NJ (Hybrid - 2 days on site)

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $180,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.  This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
