1. JOB TITLE:       Production Clerk

 

DEPARTMENT:  Production

                                        

 

1. JOB SUMMARY:          

 

            The Production Clerk will create and maintain all training documents for hourly personnel, including, but not limited to, Operating System Procedures (OSP), Picture Process Maps (PPM), training practicals, and training matrices. The clerk will work at the direction of the department superintendents to work with hourly employees to create these documents to meet best practices for hourly job duties.

            Operating System Procedures, Picture Process Maps, training materials.

 

1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES: 

 

1. Train group leaders and others as needed to create PPMs, OSPs and safety documents.  

 

1. Create and maintain PPMs as directed by department superintendents.

 

1. Create and maintain training practicals as directed by department superintendents.

 

1. Talk to employees to learn step-by-step procedures for training documents.

 

1. Track levels and testing timeframes for all departments and communicate to appropriate personnel.   

 

1. Create manual update packets.

 

1. Maintain manual lists.

 

1. Update PPMs based on SBO feedback.

 

1. Data entry as needed.

 

1. Understand, perform and promote safety rules and procedures.

 

1. Comply with all safety standards.  Remain focused on safety throughout the shift and perform all work in a safe manner without taking shortcuts.  Report injuries immediately to your supervisor and any potential safety hazards observed.  

 

1. Comply with all quality standards.  Produce quality product by not accepting defective material into work center, not making defective products at work station, not passing defects to internal customers and by reporting potential quality issues.

 

1. Comply with all sanitation standards.  Practice good sanitation and housekeeping practicing to maintain the appearance and condition of the operating facility.

 

4.   NON-ESSENTIAL/MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

a.   As part of job responsibilities, employees may be required to perform or assist on any and all jobs for which they are qualified so as to provide uninterrupted, safe and continuous operations.

 

b.   Employees may be required to perform other necessary tasks throughout the plant including cleaning, general housekeeping duties, painting, sorting, cup-by-cup, lid-by-lid or tasks of a clerical nature.
