Principal Engineer, Structural Engineering

<p>WSP is looking for Candidate who should hold experience minimum of <strong>15+ years</strong> on Structures engineering including design &amp; development on RCC and Steel structures of Transport and infrastructure projects along with Chartership from (MIStructE/HKIE(str))</p><p>This role is to work as part of a team to support the delivery of projects. This role will be working under the supervision of a Associate or Hongkong team to carry out the following functions.</p> <ul><li><p>Analyze and design building structures based on applicable Hong Kong Design Standards and Specifications or equivalent BS EN standards. </p></li><li><p>Perform structural design, analysis calculations, and prepare design reports for foundations and building structures, including piling foundations, footing foundations, superstructures (both steel and concrete), long-span steel truss structures, footbridges, ELS-associated structures, and temporary works.</p></li><li><p>Develop and review structural plans and specifications.</p></li><li><p>Use engineering and design software (e.g., Etabs, SADS, SAP2000, SAFE, Prokon) to create engineering design reports. </p></li><li><p>Coordinate with other disciplines to provide adequate information for effective project progression. </p></li><li><p>Lead and supervise junior team members.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with the Hong Kong office and various stakeholders regarding work specifications.</p></li></ul> <ul><li><p>Degree holder in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline. </p></li><li><p>Minimum of 15 years of practical experience in structural design for building structures (Infrastructure, plant, and facilities buildings preferred).</p></li><li><p>Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles, as well as best practices in concrete and steel structural design. </p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Hong Kong/British/European standards. </p></li><li><p>Proven work experience as a Building Structural Engineer or in a similar role. </p></li><li><p>Proficiency in design software (e.g., Etabs, SADS, SAP2000, SAFE, Prokon). </p></li><li><p>Strong command of written and spoken English.</p></li><li><p><strong>Chartered Engineer (MIStructE/HKIE(str)) is a must.</strong></p></li><li><p>A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential</p></li><li><p>Strong command of written and spoken English.
