2nd Shift Sunday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Starting rate is $18.25 + 10% second shift differential
Will train on first shift for a period of time

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for the critical processes related to received donor tissue and to the final destination.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Tissue Receiving Coordinator I
1. Prepares tissue for shipment by packaging and labeling to internal/external facilities.
2. Performs pre-processing cultures.
3. Performs discard process accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Responsible for temperature monitoring and alarm handling of storage units.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Tissue Receiving Coordinator I
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Intermediate computer literacy.
• Solid problem-solving, decision-making skills and strong attention to detail.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Ability to follow directions and serve well as a team member.
• Ability to enter and report numbers accurately.


WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
• Must be able to take call and work after hours as needed.
• Requires heavy lifting.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be considered insurable by Solvita insurance provider.
• Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Demonstrate positive team building behaviors that include effective decision making.
• Ability to be competent in all Tissue Receiving Coordinator I training modules and working independently within 6 months.
• Must be able to be on call for levels II, III, and IV.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree in a health-related field.
• Knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique.
• Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS).
• One year of tissue banking experience.
