For our Engineering team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer (f/m/x) with a strong background in designing and implementing scalable backend services and intuitive frontend experiences. You’ll work across our Go-based backend and a standards-driven frontend, delivering reliable, high-performance features that power Refurbed’s marketplace and mobile applications. You’ll ensure our web interfaces meet modern HTML and CSS best practices, accessibility and SEO standards, and provide an excellent user experience at scale.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Significant experience designing and implementing full stack applications
  • Strong experience with a backend programming language (Go preferred), and solid frontend experience with JavaScript, modern HTML/CSS, and utility-first CSS frameworks such as Tailwind.
  • Solid understanding of API design, data modeling, and distributed systems
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and event-driven architectures (e.g., gRPC)
  • You write clean, modular, and maintainable code and care about performance and reliability
  • Comfortable balancing technical debt and business priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Independent, goal-oriented, and collaborative with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent English skills and located in one of the European time zones
  • Formal education in Computer Science or a related field

Location & Eligibility: This role is open to Europe-Based Candidates only with a valid working rights.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs in Go that power web and mobile clients
  • Build and evolve high-traffic, user-facing pages that serve millions of users, ensuring fast load times, excellent usability, and SEO best practices
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver new features end-to-end
  • Improve system performance, monitoring, and developer experience across the stack
  • Drive technical design, code quality, and architectural improvements through RFCs and reviews
  • Implement A/B tests and rollout strategies for new features
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all user-facing APIs and systems
  • Review code, mentor teammates, and contribute to technical interviews
