We are seeking a passionate and dedicated allied health professional with experience in complex case management, assessment and trauma-informed therapies. Knowledge and experience working in mental health services and out of home care would be ideal.
The allied health professional will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach, trauma-informed therapy, and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical care to children and young people who live in out of home care.
The Role:
- Provide direct clinical care for a designated number of children and young people within a program area, usually those with a high level of care need/complexity.
- Demonstrated understanding of the impacts of complex trauma on the dynamics of attachment, child development and the associated trajectory from these experiences.
- Deliver comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed biopsychosocial mental health assessments and therapies, and a range of evidenced-based psychological, creative and other therapies.
- Demonstrated experience working in a recovery-orientated, trauma informed care approach to children, young people and their families/significant others to ensure positive outcomes within the program area.
You will need:
- A minimum of two years’ post-graduate employment in a clinical area directly applicable to the CAMHS area, with a demonstrated clinical knowledge and understanding of mental health in relation to CAMHS, including the ability to provide appropriate assessment of mental health problems.
- Demonstrated expertise in the theoretical and practical application of a range of therapeutic interventions relevant to CAMHS, with the ability to acquire further expertise into the future.
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge and skills in relation to liaison and consultation with other services and agencies in the context of optimising effective and efficient service provision, advice and training and continuity of care.

Details of appointment
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 May 2027.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$117,272 to $126,182 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2025.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,182 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
