ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assess, measure and document in the electronic health record (EHR) vital signs; including height, weight, blood pressure and pulse for all persons served upon check in for appointments
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or APRN
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointments
- Participate in weekly team meetings with department members
- Provide support for the administrative staff by covering reception or intake during absences
- Schedule intake and consultation appointments and monitor messages during the absence of intake staff
- Schedule emergency consultations and hospital step-down appointments
- Respect and demonstrate ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Act as an ambassador of Family Service and Guidance Center in the community setting. This may include doing public educational and informational presentations
- Supports and actively promotes the vision and mission of Family Service and Guidance Center and the philosophy of the strengths perspective
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure:
- LMHT, CNA, or CMA certification preferred.
- Must successfully pass the KBI, DCF Central Registry, and all other background investigations.
- A valid driver's license, a good driving record, current auto insurance and reliable transportation maybe required.
Experience:
- Experience working with special needs children/youth and families is preferred.
