Job Description

This role will be based in New York or San Francisco.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role is perfect for a visionary consultant who is passionate about the science of selling and a recognized authority at driving performance improvement and organizational transformation. We are looking for a Senior Sales Performance Consultant to partner with our LinkedIn Marketing Solution (LMS) Strategic Accounts Sales leaders and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and our global GTM Enablement team to deliver transformational behavior change initiatives that lead to improved business results.

As a Senior Sales Performance Consultant, you are responsible for recommendations and execution that improve sales strategy, processes, and performance. You are highly attuned to the Sales organization’s strategy and goals, acting as an extension of its leadership team and partnering with Sales leaders to provide proactive recommendations that help grow the business.

You will leverage advanced qualitative and quantitative analyses to uncover and address critical sales blockers, skills deficiencies, and technology gaps, thereby unlocking the full potential of the sales team. Your extensive sales and business acumen will enable you to conduct thorough evaluations of existing sales strategies, identify business-critical sales processes, skills, and technology gaps, and devise strategic plans that significantly enhance seller performance by increasing win rates and optimizing time efficiency. You will design and implement tailored solutions, delivering transformative learning experiences and change management strategies that drive measurable results and substantial, measurable business outcomes. Through your deep understanding of sales through consistent, direct observation of sellers and sales calls, you will also act as the voice of the field providing input into global Enablement priorities and initiatives. You will mentor and empower sales leaders and representatives by catalyzing significant improvements in their overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as GTM Enablement business partner to the global VP Sales and regional Senior Directors in LMS Strategic Accounts. You will also partner with a highly matrixed cross-functional organization to identify critical business needs and gaps and develop and collaborate on strategic plans that drive significant business impact.
  • Perform rigorous data-driven analysis through direct observation and advanced qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover critical knowledge, skills, technology, and operational process gaps.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive and scaled enablement strategy that drives measurable behavior change and business results.
  • Measure effectiveness and ROI of initiatives in partnership with Sales Operations and influence sales leaders to hold their teams accountable for achieving operational metrics. Utilize feedback loops to inform and refine reinforcement tactics, further supporting behavior change in partnership with Sales and other teams.
  • Collaborate with multiple senior cross-functional stakeholders and build strong coalitions of executive sponsors to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrate mastery of adult learning principles to design effective and engaging training experiences.
  • Leverage your sales expertise and business acumen to shape enablement strategy, drive innovation, and mentor junior ICs across GTM Enablement.
  • Provide expert coaching to sales leaders and reps, significantly improving their performance.
  • Utilize cutting-edge enablement technology to monitor knowledge and skill gaps, surface wins, and drive learning reinforcement (e.g., GONG, AI, etc.).
  • Drive change management efforts by securing alignment, buy-in, and sponsorship from key stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Deliver exceptional enablement and change management strategies that ensure sustainable, long-term behavior change.
