Operations Data Solutions Lead 

Based in BUD - Office 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

 

The Operations Data Solutions Lead will be at the forefront of Wizz Air’s data-driven transformation, empowering our Operations departments with cutting-edge dashboards and innovative data solutions. This role is critical to driving operational excellence and strategic decision-making by leading a talented group of BI developers, analytics engineers, and business analysts to ensure that our data solutions not only meet, but exceed, business needs. Reporting directly to the Operations BI Manager, the Lead ensures that data solutions are aligned with business needs and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven success.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Manage and oversee the work of BI developers, analytics engineers, and business analysts.
• Collaborate with Operations business functions to understand their requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Coordinate the Central driven long-term initiatives' data related implementations, by supporting the necessary data acquisitions and platform developments.
• Develop and maintain complex dashboards and data solutions to support Operations departments.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security in all developed solutions.
• Provide regular updates and insights to the Operations BI Manager and other stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest data technologies and best practices to continuously improve data solutions.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor' or Master's degree in informatics, economics, management, or technical related subject.
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience in management a team of developers
• Understanding and in-depth knowledge of the aviation industry is preferred.
• Proven experience in developing dashboards and data solutions, preferably using tools like Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data management, data governance, and data security principles.
• Proactive approach, analytical mindset, ability to break down complex problems; out-of-the-box thinking.
