Tripalink is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our Construction team.
We are seeking a motivated team player with a strong work ethic that offers exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for planning and daily execution of construction projects and leveraging your experience to improve the delivery and outcomes for projects you own.
The Assistant Project Manager should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Control the budget associated with the project and negotiate best pricing.
  • Write and distribute bid packages that clearly define the scope and general provisions.
  • Negotiate and buyout contracts and subcontracts as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day operation aspects of a project and scope.
  • Manage and execute estimating and pricing aspects of projects, including creating realistic and comprehensive estimates and executing change pricing as needed
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Develop cost-effective plans and schedules for the completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
  • Select and coordinate the work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
  • Oversee the performance of all trade contractors and review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
  • Responsible for the proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Responsible for ensuring that construction activities move according to a predetermined schedule and project profitability forecast, monitoring the progress of construction activities on a regular basis, and holding regular status meetings.
  • Project accounting functions include managing the budget, tracking team expenses, and minimizing exposure and risk in the project Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
  • Report to owners and architects about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Experience: three to five years of experience in Construction doing ground-up multifamily.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365

Attendance:

  • This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs. Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required. The position is in-person.
  • Able to work Monday - Friday , 7:00am - 3:30pm PST.
  • One Saturday 8:00am - 4:30pm PST every month

This Position Also Requires

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Flexibility in days and hours worked.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
