Sr. Director of Regulatory Compliance

The Role:

We are seeking a General Manager of Moderna Enzymatics to lead our enzyme production, process development and optimization, and enzyme technology development efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize enzyme production and establish the enzyme technology platform across Moderna.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Lead a team of scientists and engineers focused on enzyme production, process development and optimization

• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and scalability of our enzyme production processes

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and evaluate new enzyme technologies and technology applications

• Manage the development and implementation of new enzyme engineering and optimization technologies and processes

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures

• Manage the budget for the Moderna Enzymatics team and ensure that resources are allocated effectively

• Build a team to deliver on development and production targets.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• PhD in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in enzyme production, process development and optimization in an industrial setting.

• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful process optimization strategies and technologies.

• Experience managing a team of scientists and engineers.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Bilingual in Japanese and English.

• Ability to lead, manage, and interface cross-culturally.

• Knowledge of nucleic acid science and technology is a plus.
