We're seeking someone to join our Wealth Management Reporting team as aJunior Financial Controller.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Develop an understanding of Finance functional area, tools and processes
- Responsible for tasks to support team deliverables, with guidance, and appropriately escalate issues to ensure timely and effective resolution
- Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
- Uphold the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
- Provide detailed analyses on monthly, quarterly and yearly expense variances, define main drivers
- Create value-add analytics on revenues, expenses, and other performance metrics.
- Develop an understanding of Morgan Stanley's product lines and structure in order to answer ad-hoc queries
- Understand various calculations and complex data flows into systems, while looking to enhance current processes through automation and optimization What you'll bring to the role:
- Willingness to learn Finance principles, tools and systems
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a professional environment
- Willingness to seek guidance and solicit feedback to further self-development
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with VBA / SQL / Alteryx or experience with BI reporting and data visualization tools - such as Tableau, Cognos - is a plus
- Strong communication skills - ability to communicate effectively across all levels
- Good time management skills with an ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet demanding deadlines
- At least 0-2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
