Job Duties:
Plans, develops and implements and ensures compliance with organization policies and goals
Provides counsel and direction to the activities of sales, service, parts, body shop, F&I, and administration to affect operational efficiency and economy
Directs and coordinates promotion of services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry
Analyzes department budgets to identify areas in which profit opportunities can be maximized or cost can be minimized and operating budget can be achieved
Confers with administrative and managerial personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required
Through communication, oversight and direction works to ensure employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and return on investment
Promotes the recruitment and development of dealership managers and non-management employees
Examines pay practices and develops pay plan models to achieve budgetary goals
Liaison with the manufacturer; works with factory representative to achieve factory objectives.
Provide strategic planning and the execution thereof to meet long term dealership goals.
Ensure all HR topics are monitored and appropriately managed along with the necessary documentation.
Recruiting and developing future leaders
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
Education and/or Training:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; and 8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relevant Work Experience:
6+ years of dealership experience at a department manager level, or similar related work; knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodologies of department operations to ensure the profitability of the dealership.
