Senior Technical Business Analyst (Software Enhancements)

Input 1 is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in driving software enhancements across our SaaS platform. In this position, you’ll work directly with clients who bring us well-defined needs, but it’s your job to think critically, ask the right questions, and collaborate internally to design the best possible solution. This is the perfect role for someone who mastered documentation of business requirements for software modifications and truly enjoys solving problems, working closely with software teams, and making a real impact on product outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with internal teams and clients to understand business requests and the true underlying needs

• Translate those needs into well-structured, actionable requirements that development teams can execute

• Proactively analyze client requests to recommend smarter, more scalable solutions, not just mirror back what was asked

• Collaborate with developers, QA, and Software Product Owners to guide feature development from concept to delivery

• Participate in internal solution discussions and work through technical and operational tradeoffs

• Participate in hands on, user acceptance testing and help validate that final features meet the intended business outcome

• Continuously refine and improve documentation and process clarity to support efficient software delivery

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year - final compensation will be based on how closely your experience aligns with the role (typically near the midpoint for candidates matching our requirement), your location, and internal equity.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver who is not afraid to speak up, challenge assumptions, and help drive forward the best solutions, not just the easiest ones.

• 5+ years of experience gathering and documenting business, functional and technical requirements for software features or enhancements

• Proven ability to think through system behaviors, workflows, and business logic, not just take notes

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions across technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience working with software development teams, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders

• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Word/Excel; bonus points for Postman or API understanding

• Background in SaaS, fintech, insurance, or financial services is a plus
