Job Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. This position coordinates and processes the traffic flow of goods to Latin America. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of import/export for our international accounts.
• Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and international trade laws.
• Coordinate logistics with minimal errors and a sense of urgency.
• Maintain all forms of documentation such as BOL's, Invoices, packing lists, and certificates for accurate record keeping of import and export activities.
• Process export shipments through our software system and generate the pertinent documents.
• Monitor export shipment status from origin to destination: pick-up, in-transit, Customs clearance, delivery.
• Prepare import compliance information for US Customs.
• Conducting searches of orders and tracking while maintaining communicating with customers and vendors.
• Monitor shipment schedules and resolve any issues or delays using multiple communication methods.
• Provide guidance and support to team members and customers during the import/export processes.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience
• 3 years' experience Imports and Exports
• 3 years computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Incoterms
• Sense of urgency.
• Strong Communication skills using multiple formats such as telephone, email or in person
• Critical thinking/reasoning skills
• Problem solving skills
• High Attention to Detail
• SAP experience

Physical Qualifications

• Lift up to 30 pounds

Additional Information

The expected compensation range for this position is between $65,000 and $75,000 based on a full-time schedule.

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits

Need to be able to drive and air-travel to different locations within the US on a short notice.

International travel when required.
