Position: Operations Manager
Location: Washington DC – Fully Onsite
Clearence: Top Secret with SCI
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing a high-performing IT team that delivers reliable, secure, and uninterrupted IT services to support the Agency's critical mission. This role focuses on establishing and managing a skilled team, ensuring smooth IT operations, and driving continuous improvement to meet the evolving needs of the Agency.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team, including Systems Engineers, System Administrators, and Network Administrators.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
Develop and mentor team members to ensure their continued growth and success.
IT Network Support Services:
Oversee the full scope of IT network support services, including network operations, security, maintenance, and upgrades.
Implement and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard the Agency's network and data.
Ensure uninterrupted service delivery by planning and coordinating system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
Manage Tier 3 support and implement architectural updates to optimize network performance.
IT Systems Administration:
Oversee the efficient management of IT systems, applications, and content delivery.
Implement effective configuration management practices.
Plan and execute system upgrades, security patches, and modifications to minimize service disruption and mission impact
Manage Tier 3 support
Communication and Coordination:
Maintain a proactive and retroactive communications program to promptly inform customers of systems changes, upgrades, and maintenance interruptions.
Coordinate planned systems maintenance with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Government Technical Leads.
Asset Management:
Implement comprehensive asset management functions, including tracking metrics, standard operating procedures, rack elevations, and network diagrams.
Ensure all IT hardware and software assets are properly managed, tracked, maintained, and disposed.
IT Core Support Services:
Provide the full range of IT core support services, including service desk/user support, IT network and infrastructure operations and maintenance, and Service Level Agreements (SLA) adherence.
Develop and maintain an IT Service Desk Customer Service Guide.
Cloud Technologies and Modernization:
Support Agency’s priorities in utilizing cloud technologies to enhance capabilities and offerings.
Assist in change management and modernization efforts to update the TS/SCI fabric.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive the evolution of INR technologies to meet the requirements of Agency’s analysts and the user Community.
Focus on technology development to improve product quality, modernize processes, ensure product reliability, and facilitate rapid dissemination of agency’s products.
24/7/365 Operations:
Ensure Agency’s IT Support Services are operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Security + Certification
- Proven experience in IT operations management, preferably within a government or intelligence environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with IT systems administration, network and infrastructure operations, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and modernization efforts.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
