Job Description:

 

As the Senior Product Owner Data Integration for Finance, you will play a key role in the Finance Department’s data transformation strategy. You will be responsible for steering the transition from legacy systems to a modern cloud-based data environment. Your focus will be on ensuring the Finance department's data needs are met, use case by use case, as we migrate to the cloud. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage a portfolio of use cases, and deliver value by enabling powerful data insights using Power BI.

What will you do? Key Responsibilities:

• Program Leadership: Oversee and manage the end-to-end modernization program, ensuring migration from on-premise data warehouses and legacy BI tools to a cloud-based data platform.
• Cloud Migration Strategy: Develop and execute a detailed roadmap for the migration of Finance department data processes to a modern cloud environment, including prioritization of use cases based on their business- and strategical value.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the Finance department and the technology teams, ensuring all business needs and regulatory requirements are fully understood and addressed.
• Use Case Management: Collaborate with business units to identify, prioritize, and deliver use cases that will drive value through the new cloud data environment.
• Agile Product Ownership: Manage product backlogs, define user stories, and ensure timely delivery in an agile development environment.
• Risk Management: Anticipate risks, challenges, and blockers throughout the project lifecycle and proactively create mitigation strategies.
• Team Leadership: Guide and support a team of data engineers, analysts, and external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

What do you bring? Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or Program Manager in a data-driven environment, with a focus on cloud-based transformations and large-scale data migrations.
• Finance Expertise: Understanding of finance processes, regulatory requirements, and data flows within the finance function.
• Cloud & Data Platforms: Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure), Power BI, data lakes, and modern data architectures.
• Leadership: Proven experience leading large programs or initiatives, ideally with a focus on cloud migrations, data modernization, and finance transformation.
• Agile Methodology: Proficiency in agile product ownership, with a strong track record of delivering high-impact solutions on time and within budget.
• Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
• Certifications: Agile, Scrum, or similar certifications are a plus. Experience with finance or banking-specific regulations is an advantage.

We created the Data & Analytics department to enable our business domains to deliver high quality data products using a modern cloud data platform. The mission of this technology driven department is to ensure that data can be sourced, ingested, integrated, and consumed through well designed, automated, and simple to use services and frameworks. In total there are 7 teams in the D&A department. The position of Senior Product Owner Data Integration for Finance is in the finance ‘spoke’ team. This is an agile IT/data delivery team that works in close cooperation with the Finance business domain and IT Finance domain.
