The Information Security Analyst supports the organization's Information Security Program to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII), including but not limited to security related education and awareness activities, participation in the annual and ongoing risk analysis process, monitoring vulnerabilities through threat management monitoring program compliance, and investigation and tracking of incidents and breaches. The Information Security Analyst maintains awareness of compliance with federal and state laws, including the HIPAA Security Rule, HITECH, NIST, PCI-DSS, and other applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED
Associate Degree in Information Technology Networks or Security or related major
Excellent technical skills, communications and problem-solving skills, and ability to engage and interact with numerous external teams
Experience with virtualization technologies and modern operating systems
Experience with firewalls, switches, routers, access lists, and port level security
Familiarity with current backup software solutions, corporate storage, and industry trends
Knowledge of regulatory compliance rules and various security frameworks such as COBIT, HITRUST, ISO, NIST, and PCI
Experience with secure network architectures, identity and access management principles, application security, encryption technologies, and database and web applications
