We have a great opportunity for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team! You will supervise our warehouse associates engaged in activities including: receiving, storing, handling, wire cutting, inventory control, delivery activity, and ensuring safe practices by associates. 

Shift: Monday- Friday, 10 AM to close. Irregular business hours and occasional weekends based on business needs.

 

We’re looking for a supervisor who:

  • Oversee the second shift associates in the areas of restocking, order fulfillment (e.g. picking and packing), cycle counts, and other warehouse duties
  • Perform supervisory functions including delegating, training and developing warehouse associates on a regular basis; make recommendations regarding performance and terminations as necessary; partner with Human Resources as necessary
  • Possess knowledge and perform the functions of each warehouse role (e.g. Picking, packing, receiving and shipping) as need
  • Master use of equipment used e.g. RF scanner, wire cutting machine, forklift to train others
  • Collaborate with Shipping Supervisor and Counter Supervisor to resolve issues
  • Identify areas for efficiency improvements and propose solutions to Warehouse Manger
  • Serve as a safety ambassador regularly covering safety tips and correcting unsafe practices by associates.

 

What you bring:

  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a warehouse environment
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong people management skills to coach, praise and motivate associates
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to maintain a calm demeanor under stressful situations
  • Excellent communications skills by phone, email, verbal and written forms of communication to deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of industry safety best practices and OSHA
  • Willing to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacket. You will also use push carts and rolling ladders
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Ability to be on your stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation
  • Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills
