THE ROLE

We seek detail-oriented and reliable Picker/Packer and potential forklift operator to join our team; previous experience is sought after but not necessary, all training provided on site. Ideal candidates are team players with strong problem-solving skills and commitment to safety. We have positions available on day shift working 6:00am – 2:30pm and afternoon shift Monday-Friday, working 2:30PM – 11:00pm.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Orderman is responsible for Picking/Packing required products in a fast-paced environment. This role involves interpreting picking slip/dockets, positioning components accurately in packs for transport, and ensuring the production of high-quality packed products according to specifications required by our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

• Reading of Picking/Packing plans for stock requirements depending on customer’s needs.

• Place lumber and other materials into packs securely for transport purposes.

• Inspect material for conformity to specifications, adjusting as necessary and identifying any potential issues.

• Performing routine inspections to ensure goods are accurate and correct,

• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans/picking slips

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work alone and or collaboratively as part of a team

• High Risk Forklift Licence

• Previous experience in Picking/Packing or a related field - desirable

• Familiarity with power tools and machinery used in Picking/Packing - desirable
