Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in the geospatial field? Join our team as a GIS Intern and work alongside experienced GIS professionals on meaningful projects in transportation, utilities, education, and more. This internship is a great opportunity to build your technical skills, contribute to real-world deliverables, and learn about the role of GIS in solving complex problems. 

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

• Support the GIS team in delivering high-quality consulting services to clients.
• Assist with asset inventory collection projects using LiDAR point cloud datasets.
• Help create static maps, web applications, reports, and other deliverables.
• Learn to manage GIS data, design schemas, and build geodatabases.
• Gain experience with ESRI tools, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Contribute to web map/app creation using ArcGIS Online or Portal.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Depending on the project, you may assist with field data collection, which could involve outdoor work and walking.

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro and other ESRI tools through coursework or personal projects.
• Basic understanding of GIS data concepts and mapping.
• Interest in learning web GIS, LiDAR, and field data collection techniques.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established QA/QC procedures.
