Project Manager - Data Transfer

As part of the SOPHiA GENETICS & MSK collaboration, we are looking for a new Project Manager.
The collaboration agreement will blend the power of SOPHiA GENETICS’ large, global network and deep expertise in predictive algorithms with MSK’s clinical expertise in cancer genomics.
You will own the project to provide secure, compliant access to data as part of our Knowledge transfer.
This is a remote role, in vicinity of Boston or New York.
Your mission:
- Serving in project leader role, matrix manages and direct activities of assigned project team members to facilitate project goals.
- Leads/manages overall profiling of data for externalization or commercial licensing, which may include reporting on attributes such as metadata, specific data elements, quantity, quality, sources, provenance, etc.
- Makes recommendations on potential commercial data products/cohorts, processes, and data pipelines, as well as contributing to the development or implementation of tools to enable these.
- Participates in the development of and facilitates financial, business and action plans to progress initiatives
- Understands external regulations as well as internal policies and procedures, is able to interpret their implications for the project and implement actions to ensure compliance.
- Works closely with privacy, risk and compliance, and information security to ensure data and all steps of all processes are clear, appropriately resourced, well documented, reviewed/approved by appropriate parties, secure, and compliant at all times.
Requirements
- 1 -3 Year experience within Project Management
- Direct exposure to healthcare environments with sound understanding of the importance of clinical/genomic data.
- Working knowledge of privacy and compliance regulations linked to Healthcare data including HIPPAA.
- Previous experience exposure to internal/external collaboration programs highly advantageous
- Previous project or program experience linked to knowledge or data transfer also valuable
- Process orientated, with a focus on commercial outcomes and impact
