What's the Role?
As Glow looks beyond being an insurance Broker and expands its vision of continuing to delight our customer with additional affordable insurance products, we are looking to bring engineers who have the drive to be a part of this Glow 2.0 journey. As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Glow, you will play a crucial role in driving our mission forward. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of extremely smart engineers in SF and remote. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about using their technical expertise to make a positive impact on people's lives. You will be responsible for creating exceptional code and establishing the foundation of our tech stack.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Working closely with the leadership team to define and drive engineering best practices and standards
• Architecting technical solutions that align with our product vision and business requirements
• Partnering with the VP of Engineering in building out complex workflow driven, configuration and component based front end workflow system that will form the base for all the front end development across the rest of the teams
• Designing systems that are scalable and performant to handle the increasing demands of our users
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, user needs, and technical constraints
• Conducting thorough code reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality, security, and maintainability

You'll be a great fit if you:

• Are a full stack developer with 8+ years of experience and advanced frontend and backend skills (Node.js, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, ES10, Docker, Redis Cache, SQS, Kafka)
• Have experience building front end applications as well as optimizing them for performance and scale
• Have experience working with cloud infrastructure by using infrastructure as code tool like Terraform or something similar
• Have strong experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Believe that speed and quality are not conflicting; you can achieve both
• Hold a BS in Computer Science, Mathematics or related degree
