The Position
The Associate Director, Medical Affairs Omnichannel Engagement, role is to support the Director of Medical Affairs Omnichannel Engagement and SPOC department in executing and governing the medical omnichannel engagement strategy in specific therapeutic areas. Through process development, execution, optimization and measurement the AD will enable medical affairs and CMR to drive towards modernized engagement across the enterprise. Knowledge of medical affairs, digital and scientific communication, technology and platforms and strong operational and project management capabilities are essential for success.
Relationships
Reporting to the Director of Medical Omnichannel Engagement (MOE).
This role is within the SPOC- Omnichannel Engagement team, enabling and governing the medical affairs omnichannel engagement strategy. The Associate Director- MOE will work with one another and across therapeutic areas (TAs) to bring medical affairs functions and leadership to modernized scientific exchange, paving the way for holistic Omnichannel Engagement.
The Associate Director will be expected to proactively, extensively and curiously engage with TA Program Development ADs, Field Alignment Directors, Sci Comms leads and the SPOC team to deliver a standardized, data-driven, modern scientific exchange and omnichannel engagement program.
Essential Functions
- Strategic thinker who can lead change within and across multiple functional teams and therapeutic areas to standardize, optimize and modernize scientific engagement
- Harmonize systems and strategy across multiple therapeutic areas to standardize processes that yield content, audience and channel orchestration within regulated environment
- Identify, collect, automate and analyze data surrounding all facets of the scientific engagement model to inform ongoing areas of focus and priority
- Govern bi-directional exchange plans across CMR to identify and achieve efficiency and impact indicators in preparation for organizational omnichannel vision
- Stay informed, curious and report advancements of digital communication capabilities across the pharmaceutical and regulatory space
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within CMR and NNI to align and inform
Physical Requirements
Approximately 5-15 % overnight travel.
This is a fully remote position.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree required (e.g. pharm D, MD or PhD)
- Experience Level: Minimum of 5 years differential experience in the pharmaceutical industry and medical or scientific affairs
- Experience in more than one functional area preferred (e.g. field medical, medical information, sci. communications etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in project leadership, project management and measured outcomes (digital project experience will be prioritized)
- Ability to work with both short- and long-term timelines and across multiple therapeutic areas
- Strong attention and experience with operational process creation and efficiency as well as data collection for analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills - change and stakeholder management skills required to build and maintain relationships with functions ranging from Senior Management to Subject Matter Experts
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
The base compensation range for this position is $190K to $220K. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
