Night Shift: 7pm-7am

Location: 395 W Lake Street, Elmhurst, IL 60126

Full Time Night Shift: 7pm-7am

Position Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent
2 years previous healthcare experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent personal skills
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Basic computer skills
Ability to type approx 30 words a minute.
Purpose:
To assist the ACH Transfer Center in facilitating timely and efficient transfers into the Advocate Children's Hospitals. The Transfer Center Assistant will collaborate with the transport team unit staff and other departments. The Transfer Center Assistant maintains the call queue and reports within the unit's database. This position also provides closed loop feedback to referral hospitals related the transport process. This positions works in collaboration with the rest of the Transfer Center crew.


ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting and staying focused on callers need with use of voice, eye, wrist, hands and fingers for operation of computer and telephonic processes. Reach and stretch above and below shoulder level. Some pushing/pulling. Kneeling, bending may be required.

EXPOSURE TO HAZARDS: Exposure to General Office Environment.
Ability to work flexible hours to provide staffing for the department, which is open twenty~four (24) hour per day, seven (7) days per week program
occasional lifting of 10 pounds
