Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in software engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues. Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • You should possess a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent)

 

  • Minimum Requirements (Technical):
  • 20 years of experience in a software engineering team
  • 10 years of experience writing software for non-volatile memory products required (e.g. flash, NVMe)
  • 10 years of experience with SSDs, leading aspects of SSD development and PCIe storage architecture
  • 10 years of innovation and experience with user space application development (e.g. drivers, SPDK)
  • 10 years experience with server virtualization software development 
  • 10 years Linux Kernel software experience   
  • 10 years storage software experience   
  • 10 years experience working with firmware teams
  • 10 years experience influencing external customer engagements
  • 5 years experience with IA server platforms and experience with the integration and testing

 

  • Minimum Requirements (Leadership & Management):
  • 15 years of Leadership capability, strong interpersonal communications, and ability to task manage.
  • 10 years of experience with culture and people development 
  • 10 years of leveraging technical expertise and insights in a team environment and exhibit strong customer orientation.
  • 10 years of experience managing and leading a software engineering team
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation skills required in the development of technical documents and presentations to customers. 

 

  • Preferred Experience.
  • 5 years experience with network storage stack
  • 5 years of experience with FPGA prototyping strongly preferred
  • Experience in working with external alignment around industry standards

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $207,010 to $347,090. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
