Job Description:

As a Lead Tax Services Senior Staff, you’ll play a key role in both tax compliance and strategic consulting across a dynamic range of clients. Tax consulting includes performing tax research and working with business entities, high net worth clients, entrepreneurs and their businesses on tax matters as well as planning and implementing special projects. The Senior Staff is responsible for the compliance function on clients corporate, partnership and complex personal income tax returns. This position offers a clear, supported path to Manager and beyond, with direct mentorship from local tax leadership to help you grow and excel in your career.

Responsibilities:

• Your role will include overseeing tax compliance, identifying tax planning and consulting opportunities, preparation and review of client tax projections and calculations, and supervising and developing staff
• Be the in-charge for monitor multiple client engagements
• Lead client communications and coordinate deliverables across functional teams
• Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and tax savings strategies
• Research and consult on complex tax matters
• Work closely with partners, managers and staff to integrate efficient standard operating procedures and practice development skills using a team approach to client service
• Work with staff assignments and scheduling and meet client and government deadlines

Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting required, Masters in Taxation or LLM is a plus
• CPA preferred, but not required
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend
• C corporation, partnership, and complex individual income tax experience
• Possess effective writing, communication and tax research skills
• Experience with international tax a plus

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $62,500.00 - $141,000.00 per year.
