We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer - Controls to join our team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work on building the future of autonomous combat vehicles
- Develop the software systems and control algorithms for the drive by wire system of an unmanned, autonomous vehicle
- Work with actuators, sensors, connectors and architecture of vehicle control systems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years experience writing C code or Rust in a production environment — unit testing, code review, algorithm performance and tradeoffs, architecture, etc.
- Proven ability to use programming to solve challenging problems and increase own/team’s efficiency through automation
- Exceptional ability to keep multiple projects moving forwards in parallel
- Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, USB) and fiber optics
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral)
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
- Exposure to modern software development version control and project management tools - Git, Jira, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with developing safety-critical systems, and working with ISO-26262 and/or DO-178
- Basic knowledge of vehicle kinematics/dynamics
- Experience in automotive/EV/AV/aerospace/space or similar industries
- Experience with pose estimation, SLAM, probabilistic filtering, and 3D data
- Solid understanding of ROS
- Experience with autonomous robots
