Summary

Are you ready to take on a dynamic ‘seller-doer' role where you’ll be at the forefront of emergency response, customer support, and providing non-regulated services to customers in Oregon? In this position, you’ll be the go-to expert for managing emergency outage calls, ensuring customers have the right agreements in place, coordinating swift, effective power restoration, and selling and providing non-regulated services. You’ll work on obtaining new work, lead work order coordination, balancing customer input and crew logistics and customer billing to get the job done efficiently.

Beyond emergency response, you’ll play a key role in invoicing and cost calculations for annual service agreements and on-demand maintenance. Your expertise will extend to supporting customers both inside and outside PGE’s service territory, collaborating across departments to ensure they receive top-tier service.

As the Specialist for the Equipment Rental Program, you’ll oversee purchasing, invoicing, and specialist-level tasks for High Voltage Services, from acquiring new business to coordinating response work orders. When internal teams are unavailable, you’ll take the lead in subcontracting work and providing training and support to ensure all jobs meet PGE’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manages programs and projects - Administers special customer programs and assists with smaller, fast paced projects. Creates program goals and budgets. Tracks agreements with primary customers. Develops and maintains program operating procedures.

Maintenance - Arranges repairs and maintains appropriate records.

Budgeting and Accounting - Works with other departments to develop pricing, including assets without established guidelines or precedent. Tracks assets, updates and prepares pricing agreements, and processes invoices and purchase orders.

Documentation and Compliance - Ensures compliance with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations. Develops and implements documentation systems. Records transactions accurately and assists with auditing and oversight activities. Reviews reports, reconciles discrepancies, and determines escalation needs. Provides billing to customers for distributed generation assets. Coordinates agreements and termination schedules.

Consultation - Builds relationships with customers and stakeholders. Responds to questions regarding special programs or projects. Troubleshoots and resolves issues.

Customer Support - Coordinates emergency repairs for customer equipment. Analyzes complex issues, determines scope, troubleshoots problems, and schedules work. Manages material and labor costs. Prepares customer billing for emergency services, validates costs, and serves as the primary on-call contact for the emergency repair program.  Prepares proposals and new business inquiries for customers.

Tracking and Reporting - Establishes and monitors program metrics. Track's location of PGE-owned equipment, replacements, upgrades, rental income, financial status of projects, energy production, and other required information.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Certifications          

Education
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience
Typically, two or more years of experience in utility distribution, accounting, program coordination, or related field.

Valid driver’s license required.
