What’s the role?
We are looking for an experienced product leader to improve our existing buyer comparison experiences! The team focuses on building and iterating on products that make it easier for buyers to evaluate Etsy's vast inventory.
As the Group Product Manager for Comparison Shopping you will develop a strategy to help buyers find and compare items on Etsy. As a Group Product Manager, you will lead a team of PMs to build capabilities that enable buyers to find the right item for them through dynamic recommendations pathways, improving existing tools for comparison and building new features. You’re also responsible for establishing the overarching product vision and strategy for this area.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Product and the base salary range will be 194,000- 252,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. What does the day-to-day look like?
- Set the product strategy based on quantitative and qualitative learnings and prioritize focus areas to ensure product development squads create successful outcomes for our customers and business
- Define frameworks and metrics that enable teams to measure progress towards their goals.
- Work closely and collaboratively with leaders across other functions (including engineering, marketing, insights/analytics, and design) to realize the full potential of our product development investments.
- Develop the skills and careers of the product managers on your team through constructive feedback, mentorship, and coaching.
- Coordinate with other Product Management and Product Designer leaders to ensure the overall user experience is cohesive and consistent.
- Regularly present to our company executives on roadmap progress, strategy and prioritization.

Qualifications
Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally 2+ years of experience managing product managers.
- Excited and passionate about solving complex consumer-facing problems, developing strategies and roadmaps, and driving those plans to bring value for our business and customers.
- Ability to drive cross-functional decision-making and influencing effectively through informal authority.
- Inspiring, engaging and clear communication. By knowing your audience, you communicate across departments including PM, Design, Finance, Engineering, Research, Operations, and Etsy leadership.
- Comfortable developing team goals and guiding teams through roadmap development to meet those goals
