Job Description:
The Vice President, Chief of Staff, will support the Executive Vice President Hybrid Cloud and Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and drive strategic initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment across the organization. This role requires a highly analytical, organized, and influential leader with a strong background in cloud technology and executive management.
While Houston, Texas is the preferred location, we are flexible for the right person.
Primary Responsibilities
Act as a strategic advisor and confidant to the Executive Vice President Hybrid Cloud and Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and executive team, providing insights and recommendations on key business decisions.
Oversee the execution of business unit initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
Lead cross-functional projects and teams to drive operational improvements and innovation.
Manage the planning and execution of executive meetings, including agenda setting, preparation of materials, and follow-up on action items.
Serve as a liaison between the Executive Vice President Hybrid Cloud and Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and various stakeholders, including employees, board members, clients, and partners.
Develop and implement processes to enhance communication, collaboration, and efficiency within the executive team and across the organization.
Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
Ensure the successful execution of the organization’s hybrid cloud strategy, working closely with technical leaders to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
Represent the Executive Vice President Hybrid Cloud and Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and organization at events, conferences, and meetings as needed.
Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within a technology-focused organization, with a strong emphasis on cloud computing and hybrid cloud environments.
Proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives and driving organizational change.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
Proven track record of achieving results in a large, matrixed organization.
Travel expected ~30%.
