Software Development Engineering – Advisor II

TITLE:                                 Software Development Engineering – Advisor II

EMPLOYER:                               Fiserv Solutions, LLC

LOCATION:                                 Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the US subject to authorization from management)

DUTIES:                                      Responsible for software development and infrastructure building in AWS Cloud. Act as technical lead in the requirements gathering phase of projects. Provide guidance to Scrum Masters to create relevant epics and user stories. Provide estimates on tasks with complete timelines of project delivery. Create a Proof of Concept and a clear path of continuous integration build. Develop an efficient and sustainable software solution based on Service Oriented Architecture. Write fault tolerant publishers and subscribers in Kafka, efficient queries in Snowflake, and stored procedures and functions. Work with data structures, multi-threaded coding patterns, streams, and object-oriented programming. Create, set up, and deploy Spring Boot applications. Use dynamic injection of properties and object. Deploy applications or services in AWS and other cloud environments. Develop and auto-execute unit test cases that are integrated with the Maven build. Prepare daily checkout routines for the environments. Support Incident Reports (IR) created by clients and address them in a timely fashion. Develop log events and customize error codes based on client requirements. Implement exception handling and trigger incident alerts based on errors.

REQUIREMENTS:                     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 7 years in any job title involving Full Stack development experience. Prior experience must include: 7 years working with Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Rest, and microservices; 5 years working in Snowflake (Cloud BigData); and 3 years working in Cloud Technologies including Cloud Foundry and AWS. Prior experience must also include 2 years in the following: Using Object Oriented Design Patterns; Working in RDBMS including Oracle 18C or newer; Working with SCM, build and deployment tools (CI/CD), code scanning, and testing tools; Working with messaging including ActiveMQ and KAFKA; Developing shell scripts in a Linux environment; Managing JIRA and Confluence boards; Working with XML technology including XSD, XPath, XQuery, and XSLT; Working with Motion Framework; Working with JavaScript using jQuery, Ext JS, or AngularJS; Working with Bootstrap 4 or newer; and Working with HTML5 concepts and CSS3.
