See www.mastercard.com/openbanking. Over the last few years we have established a large, cross-functional team that is focusing on product design and delivery. In the last 2 years, we also completed acquisitions of Finicity – a leading US open banking data aggregation and analytics company – and Aiia – a leading European open banking solution provider.<br/> <br/>The role sits within European Open Banking Connectivity team based in Copenhagen which aims to deliver the highest quality payment initiation and data access across Europe supporting a wider range of payment types and a rich set of financial transaction data from which Mastercard and their clients can develop compelling applications for consumer and business customers.<br/> <br/>This role will be a key position in our team of product professionals who manage the build and maintainence of our own API connections.<br/> <br/>You will own Mastercard’s connectivity across a number of European countries and aim to become a champion and in-house expert in open banking connectivity. You will be become part of a team that is blending the agility of a fintech scale-up with the strength and resources of a leading global technology company.<br/> <br/>You will;<br/><br/>- Be responsible for Mastercard’s open banking connectivity across a portfolio of European countries and all the banks within that country<br/>- Manage and prioritise the development roadmap for these connections, including new banks to connect to, new API endpoints, scheduling regular updates as specified by the banks and fixing issues identified through our own testing programmes or identified by clients<br/>- Champion and understand existing client requirements ensuring these are appropriately reflected in forward roadmap<br/>- Partner with our engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of the roadmap - both new capabilities and resolution of existing client issues.<br/>- Develop in-depth knowledge of the Open Banking payment and data mechanics in your chosen markets, proactively monitoring market developments to spot new opportunities<br/>- Identify whether banks are making available open finance connections (eg commercial APIs) and work with engineering teams to determine how Mastercard best takes advantage<br/>- Support sales engagement as subject matter expert in market connectivity<br/>Build a network of contacts within individual banks to facilitate fast resolution of issues<br/>- Participate with other team members in the overall prioritisation of changes tackling conflicting priorities and client demands<br/>- Identify and suggest opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the connectivity product management processes<br/><br/>Skills and Experience required for this role are;<br/> <br/>- Strong project management (with an agile focus), analytical skills and financial literacy<br/>- Ability to plan and organise effectively and deliver to deadlines.<br/>- An attention to detail, a ‘right first time’ approach.<br/>- Able to communicate clearly and concisely<br/>- The ability to work, under pressure, in a cross-functional team.<br/>- Knowledge of APIs and their use in the context of products<br/>- Working knowledge and experience of agile product development and methodologies<br/>- Able to operate in a fluid and ever changing environment<br/>- Experience of the software development lifecycle<br/>- Experience of collaborating effectively across an organisation with internal colleagues and third party suppliers (e.g. IT, Operations, legal, finance and marketing)<br/> <br/>Desirable skills And Experience<br/> <br/>- Knowledge of Open Banking / PSD2 and principles of API development<br/>- Knowledge of how Open Banking transaction work at a technical level (and hence appreciate how problems could arise).<br/>- Product Management
