Heavy Equipment Operator

John Smith Landfill, a Waste Connections company, has an immediate position available for a CDL Driver at our operation in Hollister, CA.

The primary duties of this job is operating : Excavator, Loader, Dozer, compactor. Class B CDL is preferred.  We are looking for candidates with heavy equipment experience listed above.

The schedule will be 4 days per week, 10 hour days, plus some overtime. The schedule will include either a Saturday or Sunday.

The starting pay rate will be $30-40/hour, depending on experience. We also offer great family benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·         Proficient in operating all yellow iron on site.

·         Operating Dozer, Compactor, Excavator, ADT, Loaders, Backhoes, and Roll off Trucks

·         Loading recycle materials in a hopper

·         Pushing up piles of yard debris, rubble

·         Responsible for equipment inspection

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·         ​Class B CDL highly preferred

·         Ability to be self directed as well as work in a team environment

·         Ability to work in all weather conditions

·         Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
