About the opportunity
The Senior Director of Human Resources sets the vision and direction for the entire HR function to align the departmental strategy to short-term and long-term business goals. They are responsible for driving cultural enhancements, talent development, and operational excellence. This role serves as a strategic partner to the Executive leadership team, providing data, analytics, and HR expertise to support overall business objectives.
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is required to work onsite with a hybrid schedule.
How you will make a difference
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership Team, advising on the human capital aspects of major business decisions, organizational design, and long-range business planning.
- Design, champion, and execute the organization’s holistic Human Resources strategy (Recruiting, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Operations) to drive achievement of overall business objectives.
- Lead the development and execution of the organization’s culture strategy to ensure alignment with core values and strategic goals.
- Provide executive oversight and leadership to the entire Human Resources department, setting the vision, priorities, and performance standards for all HR staff.
- Partner with the HR Operations team to create the Human Resources scorecard, KPI, and provide strategic people analytics to the executive team.
- Direct and continuously improve the organization’s talent development initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and identify new programs.
- Oversee and champion the engagement survey and performance management strategies, utilizing data and analytics to diagnose organizational health and implement targeted solutions.
- Promote EOS philosophy and company-wide utilization by providing leadership coaching, training, and best practices.
- Lead the organization’s approach to complex employee relations issues, providing high-level counsel, and develop internal protocols.
- Partner with the Executive team to support organizational development initiatives, including assessing the need for and driving structural and operational changes (e.g., departmental restructuring, job architecture design) to enhance organizational effectiveness and agility.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and application of all human resources policies, processes, training, and initiatives.
- Maintain HR compliance and risk mitigation across all federal, multi-state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in human resources, proactively communicating implications and necessary changes to the executive team and throughout the organization.
- Participate in HR due diligence efforts on potential acquisitions, assessing risk related to compensation, benefits, compliance, labor relations, and organizational structure.
