Job Summary:

This position provides leadership and administration for the integration and coordination of all financial long-range planning. Develops, implements, and communicates the college-wide budget planning process, plans and prepares college-wide budgets, monitors expense activity, solves fiscal problems, and addresses issues of financial accountability. Oversees and assists in the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of systems related to budget and position monitoring and controls. The Senior Director is the expert on financial activities including budgets, expenses, and fiscal responsibility. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or another related field OR Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and significant relevant work experience.

Significant years of experience in budget development, implementation, monitoring and analyzing in a complex and dynamic environment.

Significant years of administrative and leadership experience in a team-based environment.

In-depth experience with financial management systems, spreadsheet applications and database management.

Experience with group facilitation, collaboration and working in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with supervision of direct reports.

Experience in public or private higher education, OR a governmental or non-profit entity.

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or another related field OR Certified Public Accountant.
