We’re searching for a Senior Technical Program Manager - Security Governance
In this role, you will
- Establish Programs and Processes
- Work closely with Aurora’s Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Service Delivery and Safety departments to identify various security governance initiatives.
- Design, build and establish security governance programs and processes.
- Build technical program support interface between Security and the rest of the company.
- Drive Execution and Risks Resolution
- Drive company wide planning, roadmapping, resourcing of product security governance/compliance initiatives.
- Interface with engineering managers and engineers to estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources.
- Proactively ask questions to drive clarity in execution dependencies and priorities to push the team to be highly effective.
- Identify procedural, operational, and communication gaps, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities.
- Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress.
- Manage Stakeholders and Communications
- Establish communication interfaces to keep various levels of stakeholders informed.
- Publish regular reports on programs KPIs and risks
- Engage the right stakeholders as needed to enable timely strategic decision making.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in the capacity of a Technical Program Manager or Engineering Manager in domains of Security, Compliance, Systems, Software, Hardware.
- Experience with planning and driving organization wide multi-year engineering initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships.
- Ability to influence without authority and lead by example.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, without losing sight of highest priority items.
- Experience and ability to roll out large org/company wide initiatives and changes.
- Strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive decisions.
- Willingness and ability to dive into problems and document, drive alignment, drive plans and assist with execution.
- Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions objectively.
- A demonstrated track record of driving positive changes to product development..
- BS in Computer Science or a technical field or equivalent experience
Desirable Qualifications
- A combination of CISM, CISSP, GIAC, Prosci, SAFe, CSM or PMP certifications.
- Experience with ISO 21434 and NHTSA Cybersecurity framework.
- Experience with driving security governance or security compliance efforts in an organization.
- Experience in driving key product development initiatives in the automotive or hardware domain.
- Excellent emotional intelligence.
- Experience with creating communication plans for various levels of stakeholders.
- Foundational knowledge in various domains within Information and Cyber Security, specifically in the automotive space
