We are looking to fill a Full Time Pediatric General Surgery Administrative Assistant position with our IU Health Physician's team at Riley Hospital for Children. This position will join an engaged support team to provide front office and scheduling support for 9 busy Pediatric General Surgery Physicians and 2 Outpatient Nurse Practitioners. Candidates will work Monday- Friday, no holidays or weekends.

The Pediatric General Surgery Administrative Assistant provides basic administrative and technical support for the team and providers they support. They manage clinic schedules/calendars, communicates with multiple disciplines via phone and Cerner pool messaging, handles patient and referral inquires as appropriate. They manage work with basic guidance and direction. They address basic administrative and technical issues when they arise.

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Requires 0-3+ years relevant experience; previous administrative and clinic scheduling experience preferred.
  • Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment a plus.
  •  Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
