About the role

If good is just never good enough for you, Ford Quality shares your passion for striving for perfection. We’re responsible for driving the continuous improvement efforts that enable Ford to deliver the highest quality products and services. Help us drive operational excellence through such innovative, proprietary initiatives as our Global Product Development System, Quality Operating System and New Model Launch. Work cross-functionally and closely with integrated teams in Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales and Service.

In this position...

You’ll own prevent recurrence at the enterprise level. You’ll lead the governance and closure discipline behind prevent action closure (PAC), removing roadblock and driving timely decisions with broad visibility across global quality, manufacturing, and cross-functional partners.
You’ll solve real problems with measurable impact. This role is built for someone who likes turning complexity into standard work: tightening processes, improving closure performance, and strengthening audit/compliance readiness. Success is clear and trackable in cycle time, execution health, and quality outcomes.

You’ll modernize how people get work done (including AI-enabled improvements). You’ll help transform standards and procedures into a better end-user experience—simpler, faster, and more scalable—by driving digital deployments, smarter search/knowledge tools, and process excellence that creates lasting capability, not just one-time fixes.

What you'll do...

  • Lead and influence a broad stakeholder network across manufacturing, supplier/functional teams, and global quality skill teams—bringing the right people together, setting clear direction, and driving alignment when ownership or root cause is unclear.

  • Run the Prevent Action Closure (PAC) governance process and drive closure discipline by moderating the governance forum, acting as an approver, surfacing lagging actions early, and escalating decisively to remove roadblocks and prevent recurrence.

  • Turn requirements into standard work people actually use by owning key global quality standards/procedures (including revision cycles and governance), answering stakeholder questions through governance forums, and simplifying processes based on systemic learnings.

  • Deliver audit-ready procedures/standards by partnering with teams supporting Quality Operating System audits and corporate compliance expectations, tracking nonconformance closure, and using dashboards/scorecards to keep performance transparent and on-time.

  • Modernize the quality standards and procedures experience with digital + AI-enabled solutions—driving improvements like AI-assisted procedure writing and smarter search, and scaling digital checklists/tools to improve usability, traceability, and productivity in the manufacturing environment.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field

  • 5-10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing quality or regulatory compliance.

  • Proven leadership experience, including direct people management.

  • Strong understanding of quality systems (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and manufacturing operations.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Even better, you may have...

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Technical Field.

  • Familiarity with Ford’s Quality Operating System framework and procedures/standards.

  • Six Sigma or Lean certification.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Flexible family care, parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up childcare and more
