What’s the role?

The IT Hub Leader Americas is a critical role in the SAP 4HANA transformation program at ZEISS, leading all technological aspects of the program at the regional level for the Americas. This role partners closely with the Head of Business Process Excellence America Hub Leader. The IT Hub Leader Americas is responsible for deploying global technical solutions, methodologies, tools, and templates in the Americas region. This position oversees all IT functions of the project, ensuring high efficiency and effectiveness in project execution. The FIT4 IT Hub Leader Americas will lead a team of SAP 4HANA IT consultants in the Americas region, driving the project's IT strategy in close alignment with the global team and providing senior-level guidance on business processes and technology issues.

Additionally, the IT Hub Leader will oversee a multi-year business process transformation program in the Americas as ZEISS implements SAP 4HANA.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Oversee Transformation Program: Lead a multi-year business process transformation program in the Americas as ZEISS implements S4/HANA.

  • Collaboration: Strongly partner and collaborate with business/functional transformation hub leaders and core business team members.

  • Technical Implementation Leadership: Guide all aspects of the technical implementation through design, build, test, and deployment phases, leveraging global blueprints, templates, methodology, and experience.

  • Planning and Monitoring: Plan, steer, prioritize, monitor, and lead IT deployment activities, including handover to global operations within a regional hub, ensuring alignment with global standards and regional business requirements.

  • Program Support: Support the Global CIO and Global Program Leader by ensuring the technology program delivery components are managed according to schedule and budget, aligning with the company's transformation roadmap.

  • Resource Management: Manage program resourcing, including recruitment, availability, and allocation of IT hub resources and budgets.

  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Work with segment C-suite leads in business and IT to ensure executive stakeholder management at regional and global levels.

  • Technical Governance: Chair technical governance forums at regional and global steering committee levels, providing status updates on delivery vs. plan.

  • Progress Reporting: Drive progress reporting and escalations to the Global IT Program lead and facilitate regional decision-making on IT-related matters.

  • Risk Management: Identify, escalate/mitigate, and resolve IT-related issues and risks within the hub.

  • Team Coordination: Coordinate and supervise multiple technical teams, providing guidance to IT project managers on multiple deployment projects.

  • Quality Assurance: Define and implement measures and processes to ensure the quality of technical deliverables.

  • Methodology Implementation: Implement global methodologies in the Americas to evaluate, prioritize, and monitor the success of business processes and transformation program success measures.

  • Strategic Issue Resolution: Accurately articulate strategic technical issues and provide relevant, logical options for resolution.

  • Executive Communication: Create executive-level strategy presentations for senior leadership in both America and global contexts.

Do you qualify?

  • SAP S/4 Implementation: Experience with SAP S/4 implementation.

  • Global Company: Experience working in a global company.

  • Visualization Tools: Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

  • Complex Matrix Environment: Comfortable working in a highly iterative and extremely complex matrix environment.
