Living Community Float requirements:
- You are required to work at least 48 hours per month
- At least 12 hours per month must be worked outside of your home location
- At least 24 hours per month must be worked on a weekend
- Must work at least 16 holiday hours per year
- Gas stipend provided when working outside of home location
- 5% additional compensation added to base rate!
POSITION SUMMARY:
Each RN/LPN, regardless of title, enhances the living experience for Tabitha’s Seniors/residents/clients (hereinafter, “Seniors/clients”) by performing various prescribed medical treatment and personal care services under the direction of the physician supporting the medical plan of care and meeting the written comprehensive care plan objectives, while functioning within the appropriate scope of practice. While doing so, they will contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of elders/clients through respectful, professional, competent and personable interaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follows through on physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures. If appropriate, receives and records physician’s orders.
- Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observes patient, watching for any sign of adverse reaction to medications.
- Assesses Seniors/clients assigned to him/her in regard to physical, mental and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes in a timely manner to immediate supervisor and provides follow-up with family and physician as directed. Takes and accurately records vital signs.
- Diligently observes Senior/client skin per Tabitha policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
- Completes procedures and documents the appropriate information on the Senior’s/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures With particular attention to accuracy and timeliness, follows department protocol for submission of complete documentation.
- Provides direction and monitors Med Aides who are delivering medications to Seniors/clients. Follows through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual Senior/client.
- Provides supervision and education to Seniors/clients for the self-administration of medications. When applicable, assists in teaching the elder/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the elder/client to return to his/her home.

Qualifications
COMMUNICATION: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job. Sufficient fluency to be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, provide instruction to others, read and understand a plan of care or service plan, policies, procedures or other similar documentation, interact successfully with elders/clients/caregivers, hold a conversation, conduct or participate in meetings, compose professional e-mails or other written communication, prepare legible, accurate and thorough documentation as required by the job and effectively interact with coworkers, customers, vendors, volunteers, managers and family members. Ability to recognize and interpret non-verbal cues. Ability to respond calmly and clearly to emergencies and emotional situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job while utilizing standard and specialized equipment, including but not limited to the equipment described below. Physical stamina with the ability to perform duties while moving about
