Abilene Motors Express Powered By Knight Transportation We are urgently hiring a Body Shop and Paint Repair Technician for our Richmond Body Shop. Experience with diesel equipment preferred but not required. If you are highly motivated and ready to make an impact, this is the role for you! Pay Range $22 to $39 (Based on location, skill level, and experience)
Overtime Pay
Quarterly Bonus Program Range (Eligible up to 4 bonuses a year)
Paid Training
Paid Time Off (PTO) 2 weeks (80 hours) within the first year.

Schedule:

Shift: Monday to Friday (depends on location)
Shop Hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm with 1-hour lunch

Qualifications:

High School or equivalent experience with on-the-job training.
Diploma in body repair and maintenance from vocational or trade school a plus.
Experience in fiberglass repair, paint/paint refinishing, plastics and panel replacement preferred but not required.
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and CSA regulations.
Valid driver’s license required.
Possess customer service & computer skills.
Ability to read & understand repair manuals.
Ability to multitask & work as a team.
Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required.
We are a DOT sensitive organization, and all candidates must submit to a pre-employment drug screen (hair), and background check.
Marijuana is a disqualification of employment.

Mechanic Responsibilities:

Perform bodywork repair with minimum supervision.
Perform troubleshooting on minor problems.
Ensure proper care of company tools/equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Maintain a positive & proactive work environment.
