Your role at Clorox:
The Clorox Atlanta West Plant, located in Clayton County, Georgia, is a modern 258,000-square-foot manufacturing facility dedicated to producing Home Care products. Opened in November 2017, the plant was built to meet growing market demand and expand Clorox’s production capacity alongside the nearby Atlanta Main facility. Equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities, Atlanta West enhances supply chain resilience and supports long-term business growth while reflecting Clorox’s commitment to sustainability. Both Atlanta West and Atlanta Main are certified zero-waste-to-landfill sites, achieving a 91% recycling and reuse rate through innovative waste reduction practices. This facility stands as a cornerstone of Clorox’s expansion in the Southeast, combining economic impact, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship.The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Plant Maintenance Leader and is responsible for leading and developing the maintenance team during their shift. This role includes diagnosing and repairing production and facility equipment safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The position requires extensive expertise in the manufacturing maintenance sector and involves driving change management initiatives to foster a high-performance team culture and support Continuous Improvement (TRACC). The Maintenance Supervisor will own the maintenance strategy and execution for their designated area of production and facility operations and will utilize TRACC tools to perform Root Cause Analysis and promote continuous improvement within the team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support comprehensive failure diagnosis and execution of repair/replacement plans while maintaining accurate maintenance records and databases.
- Oversee and ensure the successful execution of planned maintenance activities, including outage planning and scheduling.
- Advance and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Apply thorough knowledge of industrial maintenance tools, procedures, and methods.
- Promote and ensure adherence to 5S standards and safety/housekeeping policies.
- Actively participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings, reporting on results and insights from completed preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
- Own the maintenance planning and scheduling system, ensuring alignment with maintenance plans and identified work from weekly meetings.
- Drive breakdown elimination and deliver results in planned and unplanned downtime, meeting or exceeding KPI targets.
- Serve as a coach and resource for the maintenance team, acting as a bridge between operations and maintenance teams, and contributing to Line DDS-DPS meetings.
- Demonstrate proven knowledge of electronic and PLC-based applications in an industrial setting.
- Utilize and manage CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
- Champion safety practices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and leading by example.
- Navigate and utilize software programs (Microsoft Office proficiency preferred).
- Operate and maintain measuring and testing equipment, including meters, calipers, micrometers, and PLC programming tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, reporting any hazardous conditions.
- Stay informed of safety, environmental, and regulatory codes applicable to plant operations.
- Shift Schedule:
- 2-2-3 fixed schedule from 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, ensuring a strong and effective handoff to oncoming day shift supervisors. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet business requirements.
What we look for:
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing / engineering.
- People management experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience
- Proven leadership experience with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Track record of success in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Ability to implement and drive Continuous Improvement (TRACC) initiatives.
- Strong motivational and team development skills, fostering respect and accountability.
- Expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance, asset care, and maintenance planning/scheduling.
