Job Description:

The Program Director, Careers in Consulting, serves as the subject matter expert for consulting careers within the Business Career Services (BCS) office at the Warrington College of Business. Reporting to the Director, Graduate Business Career Services, this position is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing a comprehensive consulting career coaching strategy that prepares students for highly competitive consulting internship and full-time recruiting.

The Program Director provides individualized career coaching, develops consulting-specific programming, partners with employer relations staff to strengthen relationships with consulting firms, collaborates with faculty and student organizations, and serves as the key resource on consulting industry trends, recruiting timelines, case interview preparation, and professional development.

The Program Director will also serve as our key point of contact and liaison with the College’s “Consulting Academy Director,” working in collaboration on career development programming and services. He/She will also collaborate closely with the MBA Programs Office to support the marketing, recruitment, and retention of highly qualified prospective students who aspire to careers in management consulting and other consulting-related fields.

This role plays a critical role in expanding consulting employment outcomes while strengthening the Warrington College of Business brand among consulting employers nationally.

Policy Making and/or Interpretation

  • Follow existing University of Florida policies. Work with the Assistant Dean if the need for amendments arises and follow department, college, and university procedures for change on a case-by-case basis.

Program Direction and Development

  • The Program Director, Careers in Consulting will play a key role in the annual planning and analysis of the overall Business Career Services strategy and be an integral part of accomplishing the offices’ vision and mission.

Communication

The Program Director, Careers in Consulting, will have a high level of public contact with all Warrington College of Business stakeholders daily. Stakeholders include business students, faculty, and staff of the College. The Program Director will interact with these individuals on several levels in an effort to accomplish his/her stated goals and responsibilities, ensuring quality career service event experience for all involved.

Creativity, Strategy and Leadership

  • The Program Director, Careers in Consulting will play a role in the annual planning and analysis of the overall BCS strategy and be an integral part of accomplishing the office’s vision and mission. The Program Director will provide additional support to departmental units as necessary.
Expected Salary:

$95,000-$100,000 commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience.

Preferred:
  • Master’s degree and eight to ten years of appropriate experience in one or more of the following:
    • Management Consulting
    • Corporate Recruiting
    • Campus Recruiting (preferably within a consulting firm)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of consulting recruiting processes, timelines, and hiring practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
  • Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Strong customer focus (ability to listen attentively to students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders and to understand and respond positively to their requests) is required
  • Experience coaching professionals or students through competitive recruiting processes.
  • Experience building employer partnerships.
  • Experience conducting or coaching case interviews.
  • Experience leveraging AI technologies to improve career education, coaching, and operational effectiveness.
  • Strong administrative and project management skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership of the position and all its responsibilities.
  • High level of executive presence and confidence, with the ability to make decisions that are in the best interests of the Depart
