Your areas of responsibility:
The Regional Category Buyer plays an integral role in expanding scope of the Procurement organization to manage and optimize the spend category of Indirect Spend by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to drive efficiency and value across the organization. As a member of our purchasing team, the Regional Category Buyer will be empowered to lead the Company's sourcing activities in a significant portion of our ~$60M indirect material spend.
The Regional Category Buyer's key responsibilities include:

- Cost Optimization:
- Gather and analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Drive compliance with procurement policies and guidelines.
- Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for indirect goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, address issues, and foster long-term relationships.
- Category Management:
- Develop, implement and manage category strategies for Indirect Spend, including but not limited to facilities management, utilities, MRO, Capital Expenditures, IT, travel, and professional services.
- Conduct regular market research and stay abreast of industry trends to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
- Cost Optimization:
Travel is expected to be less than 10%.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- The position requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or a related field of study.
- 5+ years experience in procurement with supplier development and management
- 3+ years’ experience in a strategic sourcing role with a focus on indirect procurement.
