Working under the direction of the Talent Development & Partnerships Director, the Talent Development & Partnerships Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing City Year Jacksonville’s mission by leading AmeriCorps Member recruitment, partnership cultivation, and member development strategies across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. This position combines relationship management, strategic outreach and communications, and talent development to ensure a strong AmeriCorps cohort and exceptional member experience.The TDPM works collaboratively with the national City Year recruitment team, local schools, colleges, employers, and community organizations to build robust pipelines of future leaders committed to service. Throughout the service year, the TDPM supports AmeriCorps member engagement, professional growth, and transition into meaningful post-service opportunities, including education, public service, and private sector careers.
By bridging recruitment, talent development, and partnership functions, this role strengthens City Year Jacksonville’s ability to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent—directly fueling the success of students, schools, and the greater Jacksonville community.

Background
City Year Jacksonville is a leading education nonprofit and key partner to Duval County Public Schools (DCPS), dedicated to ensuring that every student—regardless of background—has access to learning opportunities and the support needed to thrive. Through the Whole School, Whole Child model, City Year Jacksonville’s teams of AmeriCorps members work full time in schools as student success coaches, collaborating with teachers and administrators to enhance academic achievement, interpersonal skills, and school-wide culture.
Within this ecosystem, the Talent Development & Partnerships Manager (TDPM) supports the People, Operations, and Strategy department’s vision by strengthening the AmeriCorps member (ACM) lifecycle—from recruitment to alumni engagement. The TDPM connects City Year’s mission to tangible workforce development outcomes by cultivating high-impact community partnerships, enhancing recruitment pipelines, and coordinating professional development initiatives that ensure AmeriCorps members thrive during and beyond their service year.

Responsibilities
Partnership Development & Outreach
Execute the recruitment strategy by cultivating and sustaining partnerships with schools, universities, community organizations, and youth-serving agencies across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.
Identify and engage new community champions to promote City Year service opportunities and build a strong ACM pipeline.
Represent City Year at career fairs, school events, and in-person or virtual community gatherings to elevate brand visibility.
Collaborate with City Year Head Quarters Talent Acquisition to align local efforts with national recruitment strategies.
Track engagement and partnership metrics through TargetX, PowerBI, and local trac
