Job Description
Peterson Trucks has the immediate need for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor at our San Leandro, CA location.
The PTI Warehouse Supervisor monitors and directs daily parts warehouse and delivery operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of services. This role directly supervises warehouse and delivery employees while overseeing day-to-day inventory management and customer service quality in alignment with budget objectives, manufacturer standards, and company operational goals. Addresses issues promptly, maintains accurate records, and promotes teamwork and continuous improvement of the department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervise the store’s parts warehouse and delivery personnel and day-to-day operations to ensure:
- Efficient and accurate processes, storage practices, and workflows are maintained.
- A safe working environment is maintained, ensuring good housekeeping and correcting situations and conditions which are detrimental to safety and/or health in the workplace.
- Initiatives and activities align with budget objectives, company goals and operational priorities, and manufacturer standards.
- Improvement opportunities are identified and acted upon.
- Company policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and ethical standards are adhered to.
- A culture of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork is maintained with internal and external customers.
- Customer needs and concerns are addressed, and issues are resolved decisively, promptly, and professionally.
- Manage and control parts inventory, making necessary adjustments to ensure sufficient on-hand quantities; ensure proper receiving and accounting of parts orders and act on stock order discrepancies.
- Oversee paperwork flow and distribution of forms, reports, and other documents required to accomplish duties of the department; maintain necessary records and reports in a secure and organized manner.
- Participate in departmental budget development; manage expenses and operating costs within budget projections and guidelines.
- Assist Parts Manager with parts sales functions as needed to ensure efficient and accurate parts sales transactions.
- Report industrial injuries in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements; provide or arrange first aid or treatment for injured employees; collaborate with Safety personnel on arranging medical treatment beyond first aid when appropriate.
- Remain current on parts products and maintain a working knowledge of related company products; keep current on developments in related fields and participate in company sponsored development activities.
- Operate company or personal vehicle as needed to support Parts department operations and customer service.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Parts management software and technology.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and conduct effective employee meetings.
- Working knowledge of Peterson Parts procedures and systems highly preferred.
