GENERAL SUMMARY
The Communications Director is responsible for leading a broad range of marketing and communication activities to drive brand awareness, influence, and impact for Team One and its executives. Based in Team One’s LA office, this individual will work closely with Team One’s executive leaders and other stakeholders and communications leads to proactively generate marketing and communication initiatives. This position will report to Publicis Creative’s Sr. Vice President of Agency Communications and plays an integral role within the Publicis Creative Agency Communications team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies to advance Team One’s awareness and creative reputation in the marketplace.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth, and develop strategies to differentiate Team One from competitors.
• Execute executive visibility and thought leadership programs, with a focus on shepherding external speaking, media and award opportunities.
• Manage the agency's brand identity and ensure consistency across all channels.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communications and marketing programs, making recommendations for optimization and improvement.
• Work cross-functionally with Publicis Groupe’s broader creative agency communications team to advance our reputation in the market.
• Showcase ability to deliver media relations results by successfully pitching the media and developing relationships with relevant members of the media
• Work alongside all agency departments, including account management, creative, and business development, to ensure alignment on communications and marketing initiatives and goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, media outlets and social platforms.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
6+ years of experience in agency communications and marketing.
Qualifications:
• LA based, with the ability to be in-office three days a week (hybrid).
• Strong understanding of the advertising industry and the role of marketing within it.
• Proven track record of media relations, thought leadership, and developing and executing successful communications programs.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies to a variety of audiences.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to partner across an organization to advance agency thought leadership, coverage and outcomes.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluent in leveraging owned channels to influence, promote and amplify, to advance the agency’s reach and reputation.
• Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure and report on communications effectiveness.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and media outlets.
• Strong media relationships with national and trade media.
Additional Information
Compensation Range: $91,000 - $154,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
